Jessica is not only an amazing comedian, but she’s also an incredible teacher and mentor!

Before this class, the only thing I knew about stand-up was falling on my face—metaphorically. From day one, Jessica created a space that felt safe, supportive, and just the right amount of terrifying. It pushed me outside my comfort zone in the best way possible. I came in with anxiety and self-doubt, and somehow left with punchlines, stage presence, and the courage to own my voice. If you’re even thinking about trying comedy, take this class. It’s therapy... but with a mic. Now I don't want to leave.

When I first thought of doing stand-up comedy, it always scared me. I knew it would be a leap of faith. I was incredibly nervous that I would bomb because it's my first time trying it. I took a leap of faith, taking her class, but she ended up being who I needed as a teacher. She is fun, positive, and accepting. She never makes you feel discouraged to get up there and try to be funny. She was understanding that we were all nervous to get up there and would work with us to create something together. Her energy is infectious and makes you want to get up there just to try it. I am also grateful that I took my first comedy class with a clean female comedian. She never discouraged me and made me feel included in a male-centered industry. I will always be thankful that she was my first comedy teacher. She helped me realize it's okay to be nervous, I just have to do it while being nervous. She helped me check off a goal on my bucket list for many years now. She is a natural at teaching, and I hope everyone takes her class.

Jessica taught me that it's okay to not be intimidated when the crowd is silent.
I joined this comedy class hoping to gain the confidence to get on stage or honestly, just to feel more comfortable speaking up at work. I’m in the corporate world, and I’ve been told that if I want to excel, I need to use my voice more. Comedy felt like a fun (and slightly terrifying!) way to tackle that fear, and it did not disappoint.
Jessica is an incredible teacher. She created such a supportive environment and taught real techniques that made a huge difference for me. From how to be clearer and more engaging, to how to look confident even when I don’t always feel that way. I also learned the true value of writing, rewriting, and actually rehearsing. Oh, and not to picture anyone naked!!
By the end of the eight weeks, I got on stage and confidently told my jokes, something I absolutely would not have done before this class. It was empowering, fun, and genuinely life-changing. I’m so grateful I took the leap.

I was a member of Jessica‘s fall 2025 class. For years I have loved to laugh and making others laugh. She told me about her class and I decided to give it a go. It was a wonderful and amazing experience. It took me out of my comfort zone and I really enjoyed myself. She is an amazing teacher with a larger than life personality. It was such an honor to be a part of this experience.
